Hello!

I'm Nick Holloway, welcome to my website.

I have been interested in photography for many years, mainly for my own enjoyment but also as a means of earning some extra income through freelance work.

Up until 2000 I worked with film using Canon A1 cameras and lenses bought in the mid 1970's and early 80's. For many years I had my own darkroom and processed black & white film, prints and colour transparencies

I bought my first digital camera in 1999 and although it was a very simple piece of equipment I quickly became hooked and sold my darkroom equipment and started to learn how to process digital images on the computer using Adobe Photoshop.

Currently I use a Canon 20D DSLR (digital single lens reflex) with the lenses:

Sigma 28mm f1.8 , Canon 50mm f1.8 Canon 100mm f2.8 Macro

Sigma 10 - 20mm zoom Canon 17-85 EFS and 70-300mm zooms.

Two years ago, with the recent huge increase in interest in Digital Photography, I started a new career as a freelance trainer and tutor in digital phototgraphy and digital imaging. I have been running a number of digital workshops and one to one training sessions for different organisations ranging from Art Colleges to pensioners' groups.

I teach digital photography and digital imaging mainly for the Adult College for Rural East Sussex (A.C.R.E.S.) and and currently work courses at Beacon Community College in Crowborough, Wealden Skills Centre in Uckfield and Hasilsham Community College all in East SussexEast Sussex.
